Our bespoke furniture solutions incorporated the latest fabrics and surface finishes. Working to tight timescales with minimum disruption to business, the restaurant remained fully operational throughout.

The Pullman London St Pancras is a flagship property within AccorHotels luxury brands, which commands a prime location, within walking distance of King’s Cross St Pancras and Euston stations. The hotel is close to the City of London, with easy access to Europe by Eurostar and Heathrow Airport accessible in 35 minutes by train.

This 312-room contemporary hotel has just completed a major interior makeover of its main bar and restaurant, with bespoke hospitality furniture supplied throughout by Andy Thornton Ltd. This was conducted over a short project period, with minimum disruption to business; the bar and restaurant remaining fully operational throughout.

Working closely with the hotel management, we were able to provide bespoke furniture solutions for all public areas, incorporating the latest fabrics and surface finishes, to help create this vibrant and cosmopolitan environment.

With full-height windows fronting the length of the main Euston Road, it was important to create an eye-catching, yet warm and inviting, interior showpiece. This was achieved by the clever combination of brass-framed chairs upholstered in cosy fabrics and brass-edged marble table tops, all matched with the iconic gold Melt pendants by Tom Dixon.

Andy Thornton Verve side chairs, upholstered in pink Sunbury velvet, are paired with brass-finished Inox table bases and laminate tops in white Calacatta marble finish, with brass trim. To one end, higher-lever poseur tables and bar stools have been used to break the eye-line. Here the clever use of floor-to-ceiling mirrors creates the illusion of space and light.

Adjacent to the external windows and facing the bar, we provided more loose furniture with side chairs, armchairs and bar stools, all upholstered in a mix of blue, green and pink velvets and faux leathers. Note the attention to detail, with special fluted stitching to the Louvre side chairs.

To the rear of the bar, brass-finished poseur tables with square marble laminate tops are paired with more of Andy Thornton’s Fluted Louvre bar stools with brass tubular frames and upholstered in contrasting blue faux leather. More of their pink upholstered Verve bar stools sit along the brass-topped bar counter.

The end result is a stylish yet harmonious space, that has immediately become the focal point of the hotel. Its flexibility meets the multiple requirements of the hotel’s wide cross-section of guests, where business and pleasure blend cleverly together.
