GLAZED SCREENS

RD Content is a creative agency that provides video content for some of the biggest brands in the world. The company has recently moved into newly refurbished offices in Holborn Tower, Holborn, London.
Working to designs by Stoica Workplace Design & Build, Andy Thornton manufactured and installed two internal industrial-style floor-to-ceiling glazed screens to partition offices from the open-plan workspace. These provide privacy for meetings without losing the feeling of openness, whilst maintaining all the ambient natural light available.

NATURAL MILL FINISH

One screen is 7.5 metres in length and 2.5 metres tall and incorporates two doors and the second screen is 3 metres long. They were fabricated in the Andy Thornton metal workshop, using mild-steel box section and the glazing framework in mild steel tee section. This secondary frame retains 6mm clear toughened safety glass, with all the metalwork supplied in a natural mill finish.
The Andy Thornton team delivered and installed the finished screens on site during the final stages of the fit-out, thus minimizing the time on location with other contractors. The client is delighted with the result, the partitions are smart and sleek and complement the surface finishes and the office and lounge furnishings.
