EXTENSIVE TERRACE SHELTER

The metalwork division at Andy Thornton Ltd completed the installation of an elegant glazed veranda on the rear elevation of a private house on the south coast of England. The new structure provides an extensive terrace shelter in front of the large pool, as well as enhancing the overall appearance of the building.

A TOUCH OF ELEGANCE

Working closely with the client and to drawings produced by the architects TMV Architects, Andy Thornton based the design of this 9-metre long structure on their popular Circle components. They manufactured the complete veranda in their Elland workshops prior to installation on site.

Four structural steel columns incorporate decorative cast capitals and fluted bases, which have been combined with cast aluminium spandrel brackets to add more than a touch of elegance to the veranda.
