Bright and light feel

TGI Fridays, the award-winning American restaurant group, has unveiled its restaurant of the future with a new look and feel dining experience at its recently launched Eldon Square, Newcastle location. The new fresh and modern interior design, with its bright and light feel, features decorative metal ceiling tiles from Andy Thornton.

Spacious and relaxed bar

The spacious and relaxed bar and lounge areas which cater for all visits, from breakfast through to dinner, incorporate decorative ceiling features where the designer has specified the Geometric tin tile from Andy Thornton. The tiles have been left in their natural aluminium finish to complement the metal framed windows and stripped back structural concrete columns.

Novel adaptation

One novel adaptation of this installation is the random spacing of the tiles within the grid, with the blank spaces accentuating the open industrial feel of the room. The tiles also have acoustic properties, helping to create the unique buzz synonymous with all TGI Friday restaurants.
