The London Inn is a popular town centre pub in the Lincolnshire town of Stamford, historically famous for its pottery and cloth. The attractive former coaching inn has had a recent major makeover, with furniture and interior furnishings supplied by contract furnishing specialist Andy Thornton Ltd.
The first-floor dining room features a fabulous open A-framed ceiling with pitch pine beams and exposed brick walls. At one end of the room is a cosy rustic timber-clad bar counter and back fitting, with overhead glasses and bottles storage rack.
Here we supplied all the dining furniture. The tables are our extremely popular scaffold table bases in tubular steel, with reclaimed scaffold plank tops. Chairs are an eclectic mix of our leather upholstered School, Hackney, Healey and Soho dining chairs, together with traditional chapel chairs.
For the ground floor sports bar, we supplied large Hogshead barrel poseur tables complete with new solid ash tops, together with simple leather upholstered Factory bar stools. These are strategically placed around the numerous screens, allowing flexible seating arrangements.
