Quayside Bar at London’s iconic Grade I-listed Tobacco Dock, is an impressive party hire venue, located in the historic Docklands area of East London; perfect for post-event drinks receptions and networking events. It is a period building featuring exposed brickwork, timber beams and ornate metalwork, which can be styled in line with themes and corporate branding.
The vintage-style furniture used throughout Quayside Bar was sourced from contract furniture supplier Andy Thornton. Our industrial range was ideal in this environment, blending seamlessly with the pared-back style and the period bars and raised seating areas with wrought iron frontages.
Our celebrated Factory bar stools, in an unmistakable rustic distressed tan leather on a steel frame, have been used throughout. They look perfect in front or the Art Nouveau style timber bar counter, as well as grouped around the many poseur tables and island drink stations.
The robust four-leg Patina teak poseur tables, in heavy duty cast iron with chunky 45 mm thick square tops in reclaimed teak, blend perfectly with the original oak parquet flooring, pitch pine beams and steel framework of the building.
On the raised dining areas, fronted by ornate wrought iron balustrading, Andy Thornton Patina teak bistro tables with 600 mm square tops have been matched with our popular School side chairs. These elegant side chairs feature vintage ribbed leather seat and back, on simple steel frames in an antique finish.
Quayside Bar, with its 446m² of space, can accommodate up to 375 standing guests, or 120 seated. It works perfectly when hired with The Dock Gallery or Quayside 1, as guests can move seamlessly from daytime conference through to an evening reception. It can be styled in line with corporate themes and clients’ branding to create a striking area for a drinks reception and for networking events.
Quayside Bar in Tobacco Dock, bathed in natural light and overlooking the cobbled quayside and ‘pirate ships’, has quickly become one of the most original spaces to hire in London, for vibrant evening events, conferences and much more.
