Plaster plaque with clock

Original painted plaster wall plaque with clock. The plaque itself offers an allegorical motif to the mortality of man, represented by figures such as Death, a winged hourglass and a Cherub. This original piece was removed from the Livery Hall of the Worshipful Company of Leathersellers, one of The City of London’s oldest guilds founded by Royal Charter in 1444, under the reign of Henry VI.
