Late Victorian pollard oak sideboard

Heavily and ornately carved late Victorian pollard oak sideboard, featuring a curved breakfront cornice, above a curved centre with twin column supports and mirrored back, flanked by leaded glass cupboard doors and fluted Ionic column ends, the polished top emphasises the wonderful pollard grain (there is, however, a split running along the back of this top), the breakfront base has a run of three drawers, with ornate carved detail to the protruding central drawer, below are two cupboard doors flanking an open shelf with moulded arched frieze with a further drawer above, all standing on large ball and claw feet joined by a serpentine plinth. The carvings feature a decorative foliage and shell theme design throughout with all original brassware in a ribbon tied bellflower style.
