The Park Inn is a traditional pub in Dresden, Stoke-on-Trent, renowned for its cask ales and as a live sporting venue. A recent refurbishment by owners Dorbiere Pub Company included an impressive new 27m entrance canopy, supplied by our architectural metalwork department.
Working closely with Dorbiere’s architect and building contractor, we conducted a site survey and provided plans, elevations and visuals for approval. The structure was then manufactured in our workshops, before being installed on site. The entire project was completed in just 5 weeks, at the budget cost of £27,000.00.
The traditional design, which blends in so well with the fabric of the building, is based on our popular Circle colonnade. This versatile system includes decorative frieze panels and spandrels, which link with the cast capitals and bases of the structural columns.
The glazed pitched roof incorporates 6 mm clear toughened safety glass panels down to a traditional Victorian-style Ogee gutter in extruded aluminium. The canopy was painted olive green in a resilient powder coat to a satin finish.
