BOUTIQUE EVENTS VENUE

BOUTIQUE EVENTS VENUE

Manor House Lindley is a new boutique events venue in Huddersfield, furnished to an incredibly high standard and set in a Grade II listed Georgian period property. Owners Sara and Mike Presley have transformed the former children’s home into a wedding venue with 11 individually designed guest rooms, bars and restaurants and even a roof terrace, which are open to hotel guests, businesses and locals alike.

DECORATIVE METALWORK STRUCTURES

We played a major part in the refurbishment, linking key areas of the venue together, by supplying a number of decorative outdoor architectural metalwork structures. Working closely with the main contractor Robinsons Property Services, we manufactured and installed a covered walkway, spiral staircase and a large amount of balustrading and railings.

COVERED WALKWAY

COVERED WALKWAY

The courtyard walkway links the hotel to the Coach House wedding venue and The Kitchen bistro. The first section is fully enclosed, using 10 mm thick window panels in Pikington Pyrodur laminated fire-and-impact resistant glass and includes an automatic glass entrance door. The open, angled-return, runs the full length of the Coach House to The Kitchen bistro entrance to provide cover against the elements.

The walkway incorporates square mild-steel columns, with steel frames and decorative Circle spandrels and brackets. The roof structure comprises 8mm thick clear toughened safety glass retained in a two-part extruded aluminium glazing system. All metalwork has been finished in a durable black powder coat.

BESPOKE SPIRAL STAIRCASE

Linking the courtyard to the raised roof terrace is an impressive bespoke spiral staircase, manufactured first in our workshops then assembled on site. It combines tubular handrail, plain balusters and steps with non-slip nosings.

From the top of the staircase, circle balustrading leads to a large roof terrace complete with timber pagoda. The 14 metre x 6 metre event space is totally enclosed by decorative railings to match the rest of the decorative metalwork in the courtyard.
