Designers: Fortnum & Mason in-house
The ultimate destination for shoppers
Established in 1707, Fortnum & Mason in Piccadilly, London, is the ultimate destination for shoppers seeking unique gifts such as hampers, elegant wines and spirits, famous teas and coffees, plus much more. The popular Gentleman’s Accessories Department has recently had an extensive makeover with many shop display fixtures being replaced.
A number of large vintage-style shelving units positioned around the department were supplied by Yorkshire-based Andy Thornton, from the company’s unrivalled collection of retail display products.
Bespoke antique brass-style finish
Each metal and timber unit was given a bespoke antique brass-style finish in the Andy Thornton workshops, before being carefully delivered to the world-famous store. The four-shelved units provide plenty of display space to showcase the luxury men’s belts, bags and grooming products.
Industrial garment hanging rails
Industrial garment hanging rails, again from Andy Thornton’s retail display range, are used throughout the department to display the men’s luxury clothing collections.
The rails have been given a bespoke antique finish, especially created for the project in the Andy Thornton workshops. The antique brass style finish of the rails provides a pleasing contrast against the rich, deep colours and elegance of the department.
