GLOBAL MARKETING AGENCY
25 Charterhouse Square, near Clerkenwell, is the new London base for global marketing agency Anomaly. The 18,700 sq ft space on the 5th and 6th floors, with 360 degree views over the London skyline, was designed by architectural practice Barr Gazetas, who worked closely with office fit-out contractor Morgan Lovell on the project, with much of the furniture sourced from Andy Thornton Ltd.
INFORMAL & INSPIRING
The design brief from the Anomaly leadership team was simply that they wanted it to be informal and inspiring, to celebrate casual working and be anything but normal or bland. The space contains 75% informal working areas, which allows all 140 employees to choose the way they work on a daily basis, dependent on mood, task and interaction with others.
The project consists of an arrivals lounge and fully operational bar, a client-facing pitch room, open-plan office space, lounge areas known as “edges”, meeting rooms of varying sizes, edit and photography suites, a design studio, an auditorium, a library and coffee bars
LIVELY & UNCONVENTIONAL
The furniture is an eclectic mix of new, repurposed and vintage pieces which blend together to create a lively and unconventional environment. Large Draper's units and Hardware store shelf units from Andy Thornton are filled with books and décor pieces, to create a homely feel in the lounge areas.
LARGE REFECTORY TABLES
Two of the huge Andy Thornton 2.5 m long Brooklyn refectory tables and four benches, in industrial-style cast iron with reclaimed pine tops, provide shared workspace for group activities.
INTIMATE MEETING ROOMS
In the smaller meeting rooms, Andy Thornton Soho side chairs are matched with black Inox table bases for more intimate collaboration.
