Monumentally tall carved 19th Century Neo-Gothic oak pulpit, intricately carved through-out. Featuring a slender cantilevered pinnacled canopy ringed with six angel figures, raised on column and back panel supports, a wine glass style podium with the carved front panels depicting Jesus Christ, Saint Peter and Saint Paul and starburst detail to the ceiling overhead, accessed by a sweeping double staircase with tracery detail. This piece was crafted by the renowned French cabinet maker and wood carver Charles Buisine-Rigot in the 1870’s for a Roman Catholic church in the North of England. It goes without saying, but this is truly a spectacular piece of epic proportion and is probably the finest example of this style of church furniture on sale at this present time.
