Oak panelled room

A truly magnificent oak panelled room, dating from around 1870, with later additions. Possibly European in origin, the room was carefully removed from a mansion close to the famous Ascot Racecourse.

Preserved in excellent condition, the panelled room features two impressive military figures flanking the intricately carved chimneypiece, which is finished by a striking mirror with feature scrolls. Two of the columns next to the chimneypiece are adorned with eagles atop foliate carvings, which feature throughout the panelling.

The internal doors, which feature as part of the room, are decorated with attractive brass door fittings, with ornate locks, handles and fingerplates.

This is one of the finest panelled rooms to become available to us within the last 10 years, and would create a stunning feature room in any hotel or private residence.
