The Primary

To satisfy the growing demand for alfresco drinking and dining, and better utilise the large square outside the pub, owners Greene King Pub Company contracted Andy Thornton to produce an elaborate structure, covering an impressive 100 square metres, accommodating over 100 diners.

The attractive glazed structure features an elaborate double pitched roof with decorative cast iron columns and ‘circle’ design frieze panels embellishing the structural steelwork. The metalwork was first shot blasted then treated with a zinc-rich primer before being finished in an extremely hard wearing gloss black powder coat.
