Tin Ceiling Tiles

Tin ceiling tiles from the 1890s are popular again and Andy Thornton offer a wide selection to make any ceiling a masterpiece. We offer a number of original designs and many different finishes can be applied to provide a brighter or antique finished look to your room.

Our tin ceiling tiles are made from 0.25mm steel and are easy to install and maintain, have good fire resistance and add tremendous character to any hotel, restaurant or bar interior. Each ceiling tile is made on an original 100 year old mammoth press. Some 800 tons of force is applied to ensure crisp definition and accurate detail.

Originally, ceiling tiles were nailed in place, but suspended ceiling drop-in tiles are now more popular. Our tiles can be fitted into a conventional metric or imperial ceiling grid using spring clips or drop-in plasterboard backing blanks. Tin ceiling cornice is also available in a variety of heights and projections to add the perfect finishing touch.

All our tiles are usually supplied unfinished for painting on site, but we are happy to quote for spraying in any BS or RAL colour. Fire retardant paint can also be applied.
