Tin ceilings

Tin ceiling tiles have been popular for over 100 years. They are made from 0.25mm steel and are easy to install, easy to maintain, have good fire resistance and add tremendous character to any interior. 

Each ceiling tile is made by a 100-year-old Mammoth press. Some 800 tons force ensures crisp definition and accurate detail. Originally they were all nailed in place and this is still best for authenticity, but the suspended ceiling drop-in tiles are now more popular. Our tiles can be fitted into a conventional metric or imperial ceiling grid by using spring clips or drop-in plasterboard backing blanks. 

All tiles are usually supplied unfinished for painting on site but we are happy to quote for paint finish in any BS or RAL colour. NOTE - water based paint must NOT be used. Fire retardant paint can be applied if requested. Full fitting instructions, fire certificate details and general advice are available on request.
