Alberts Bar & Dining

Andy Thornton designed, manufactured and installed the interior of the eye-catching, contemporary styled Alberts Bar & Dining in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. With a budget of £300,000, the project was a blank canvas, with clients Nicola Walker and Mick Triffitt of Damn Yankee Ltd giving Thornton’s free rein to create a classy, modern interior in keeping with the original Alberts restaurant, which Andy Thornton also fitted out.

Alberts II features an upstairs restaurant, with a bar and additional dining area on the ground floor. Andy Thornton’s in-house design team created a sleek yet welcoming interior, providing all the M + E, furniture, lighting, flooring and decorations. The existing ceiling was lowered to incorporate hidden cabling, featuring an attractive grid system with bespoke lighting and antique oak-effect beams. Matching beams also divide the bar and downstairs dining area. Thornton’s skilled in-house joinery team manufactured the contemporary dark oak bar, whilst the back bar features sleek stainless steel and glass shelving.
