The latest addition to our expanding range of stainless steel fittings for balustrades and railings is the 42mm system of components and tube. We have introduced this system as it is the preferred size for handrail, to meet the legal requirement for public buildings. The tube has a wall thickness of 2mm, giving it the strength to comply with current standards.
The 42mm range of tube and fittings from Andy Thornton is available in Grade AISI 316 stainless steel, which is recommended for all outdoor applications, as well as being suitable for indoor use. It is offered in a 400 grit fine satin finish as standard, or can be supplied Part M compliant with a durable, textured, thermal polyester coating in any colour.
In addition to the 42mm system, we offer railing and balustrade components and tube in 51mm and 38mm diameter options in a choice of stainless steel and polished brass, as well as select electro-plated finishes such as chrome, bronze and antique copper. We also offer an extensive range of components to create bar hand and foot rails, as well as screens, door furniture, signs and glass fixings.
