Specification
Manufactured from 30 gauge (.315mm/.0124") tin-free steel, which is chromium treated for good paint retention. Although a primer is not required for most environments, we recommend its application prior to painting in places exposed to heat, humidity, condensation or other moisture where corrosion may be a concern. If painted properly using a high gloss or semi gloss oil based paint, or a clear gloss polyurethane to finish the product in its natural state, the panels can easily last a lifetime. Water based or latex paints cannot be used, as they will induce corrosion.

FAQs
How do I fit tin ceiling tiles?
Originally they were all nailed in place and this is still best for authenticity but the suspended ceiling drop-in tiles are now more popular. Our tiles can be fitted into a conventional metric or imperial ceiling grid by using spring clips or drop-in plasterboard backing blanks.
All tiles are usually supplied unfinished for painting on site but we are happy to quote for paint finish in any BS or RAL colour. NOTE - water based paint must NOT be used. Fire retardant paint can be applied if requested. Full fitting instructions, fire certificate details and general advice are available on request. How do I calculate the likely cost?
Establish the area in square metres.
If the tiles are to fit a 600mm metric grid, divide the area by 0.6 twice. This will give the total number of tiles.
eg If the area is 32m² the total is 89 tiles.
If the tiles are to fit a 610mm imperial grid, divide the area by 0.61 twice. This will give the total number of tiles.
eg If the area is 42m² the total is 113 tiles.
For nail up, the tiles are size 610 x 1220mm, but we advise a 10mm overlap so divide the area by 0.59 and then by 1.2.
eg If the area is 50m² the total is 71 tiles.
