Young’s Park bandstand
Location: Goodrington, Paignton
Client: Torbay Council
The Architectural Metalwork team designed, manufactured and installed this impressive 7.5 metre diameter bandstand for Young’s Park, Paignton, in Devon. It was commissioned by Torbay Council and funded by the Big Lottery in partnership with Groundwork UK.
The bandstand features structural columns and spandrels from our ‘Railway Colonnade’ system, a solid roof structure in aluminium sheet and a decorative swan weathervane. It was be officially opened by the mayor of Torbay in July 2011.
