Who we are
Andy Thornton Ltd was established in 1975, when British entrepreneurs Andy and Kate Thornton started exporting architectural antiques to bars and restaurants in the USA. Things really took off when they started supplying the UK hospitality market.
Over the next 35 years, the business expanded and diversified and we are now a truly global company, supplying products and services all over the world.
We have a team of 160 dedicated and experienced people (several have even been here from the start) based at three sites in and around Elland, West Yorkshire. If you like to do business face to face, we have UK Area Sales Managers and Export Distributors, who can visit to offer advice and discuss your requirements.
What we do
We offer thousands of products in ranges including furniture, lighting, and metalwork and boast Britain’s largest stock of architectural antiques.
Our talented design and interior fit-out team have completed many hotel, restaurant and bar projects around the world. We can work with you to provide whatever you want and if you don’t know what you want, we can help you to decide – interiors are our speciality.
We are certified to ISO 9001: 2008 quality management standard and have SAFEcontractor accreditation. With over 30 years’ experience, many of our large projects come from word of mouth, thanks to our enviable reputation.
Don’t forget we’re also experts in architectural metalwork, designing and manufacturing structures such as canopies, shelters, staircases and balustrades.
