Andy Thornton

Working to the architect's drawings, we designed this 65-metre glazed canopy around our Railway Colonnade system to complement the industrial feel of the building. The columns are in structural steel with decorative cast bases, combined with heavy cast iron brackets and frieze panels. Andy Thornton also supplied the glazed roof, which used 6mm heat soaked toughened glass.

The canopy was manufactured and finished in our workshops prior to assembly on site, thus minimising possible disruption.
