Oak Arts and Crafts chimneypiece C1889

This magnificent Arts and Crafts oak chimneypiece was originally purchased for Stanford House at The Exposition de Paris in 1889. This piece was later removed and re-installed at Huyton Hill, Ambleside in the Lake District. This Arts and Crafts Mock Tudor country house has now been refurbished into cottages and apartments, hence its removal. Items of this importance rarely become available for sale, as they normally form part of Listed Building regulation.
